"Innovative thinking is the foundation of scientific advancement."

Team Green Fusion won first place overall in the 2009 CTCC program Bio21: Solving Global Challenges. Even though our home school, Bridgeport Regional Vocational Aquaculture School, was a first year contender, the team managed to sweep the competition, winning over one thousand dollars in grants for the school and a thirty-five hundred dollar scholarship to produce their product during the summer of 2009 in a lab. The main value of our project was to solve today's most pressing global issues using creative thinking. Most of us have attended the school for all four years of our high school career and have a strong scientific background while specializing in aquaculture sciences as a result. Our team is diverse with students from three cities in Southern Fairfield County. With the support of groundbreaking scientists and teachers and cutting-edge laboratory equipment at our disposal, our project is bound to set a new trend in the field.
